About RBS

National Business Initiative (NBI) presents 2nd episode of our flagship event "Responsible Business Summit (RBS) 2017" on 3 ñ 4th August 2017 in Hotel Yak & Yeti.

RBS 2017 will be an exceptional assembly of nearly five hundred top managers, CEOs, business persons, civic activists, media personnel and academicians interested and engaged in responsible business. The event is also the most powerful national platform to showcase the ethical, responsible and sustainable practices of Nepalese businesses. Exemplary cases will be presented for learning and discussion in each session. Keynote speeches will be delivered by international experts in each of the themes.

The core objective of the RBS is to promote multi-stakeholder discussion among business, government, development agencies, civil society, media and academia on CSR and showcase best practices of responsible business practices in Nepal.

About NBI

National Business Initiative (NBI) was established by fourteen major Nepalese Business Associations, and individual companies as an apolitical and non-profit-making organization in 2005. It is registered under Institution Registration Act in District Administrative Office of Kathmandu and affiliated to Social Welfare Council of Nepal. NBI is recognized as income-tax exempt organization by Inland Revenue Department of Nepal.

Hightlights of RBS 2017

The 2nd RBS is a continuation of previous efforts with a view to address additional relevant issues and to further reinforce the summitís cause and strengthen partnerships.

In this yearís conference we are taking things a notch up by making the entire conference even bigger and grander in terms of partners, participants, speakers and the overall promotion and coverage. Some of the major highlights of this yearís conference are:

  • ii) Fifty international and national speakers and 500 participants
  • iii) One International Speakers in each theme for global exchange. One national company and one business stakeholders' case to set the context
  • iv) Extensive coverage of topics relevant to responsible business agenda for Nepal
